BLE discovery, scan available services at home

  1. This is my MacBook, it grabbed the advertisement data, device information and the UUID of it.

2. This is a device called Steel HR 26, it probably comes from one of my neighborhoods. I searched on google and it shows that it is a smart watch just like apple watch. One thing that is interesting that it has four properties under the UUID, I don’t know what it means but definitely more properties than my laptop.

3. This is the iPad of my neighbor I guess. One thing that is interesting is that I even can grab data from their device even the battery level is 0%.

4. It seems that some products have 2 or more UUID, and there are multiple properties could be included included in one UUID. I am curious about the tech reason behind it.

Product discovery

I have two bluetooth mice at home, one is like 12.99 dollars (up) and one is 149.99 dollars(down).

I use those two mice on my mac. The reason I bought the expensive one was because I can feel lagging when I use the cheap one, especially when my Mac is connected to a larger screen. The expensive one is not lagging at all and super accurate.

I searched on google someone said that lagging might caused by interruptions between different bluetooth devices (the Mac and the mouse). I don’t know it’s true or not but I find it’s interesting that bluetooth devices could interrupt each other and affect the performance of the deivice.
